Probing the unknown parts of yourself isn’t comfortable; but it’s intriguing. I work with these feelings — fascination, fear, tension, apprehension, organized chaos —channeling them into distinctive abstraction. Each piece leaves me wanting to see, and paint, more.

My work reflects a lifetime of experience as a New Yorker, taking advantage of the many cultural directions and perspectives my city offers.

Ultimately, this art of mine is above all, an exploration of color; layers on multi-hued layers form a chromatic environment, using acrylic on paper and canvas. I get a charge as I watch a blank page turning the unkown into a cohesive painting, using color and shape to build a unique color environment. My Goal is to evoke visceral reactions that resonate on both personal and universal levels.
